From the mixed-up mind of a Japanese psychiatrist-turned-playwright comes The Room Nobody Knows, a surreal, psychologically twisted fever dream about two brothers who inhabit a mysterious, otherworldly apartment. On the day of the elder brother's birthday, the younger, who is supposed to be studying for college entrance exams, is preoccupied with creating strange gifts for the celebration. Meanwhile, in the upper room, the younger brother's creepy-creature alter egos come out to play.
The brothers' dreamlike inner world of deeply demented desires plays out on a comically claustrophobic candy-colored set replete with pig faces, phalluses, plastic heads and secret compartments.
