Set within a raw warehouse space, "DANCE AMIDST ART” is the largest series of collaborations between dancers and visual artists under one roof. Conceived as a large art happening, the exhibition and performances reflect society’s need to build and construct, demolish and destroy, reuse and rebuild within all fields of life. Artists examine the purpose of re-purpose through object based media, structured and improvisatory performances, and installations soliciting audience participation.

Moving Parts is a project of Meg Foley’s that explores the materiality of dance and its relationship to form. Her improvisational solo practice explores states of attention, sensation guided structure, and audience/performer relationship and interdependence. Movement Brigade, spearheaded by Alie Vidich, creates dance theater works that soak your eyes with a visual narrative that are intended to push you into a commentary about real life. The dance drives the work and an emotional edge pushes it. PINK HAIR AFFAIR Under the new direction of Laura Jenkins, each pink wigged member has a highly unique artistic vision, creating diverse works that can be humorous, emotional, athletic, formal, improvisational, and will keep you coming back for more. RealLivePeople(in)Motion explores human experiences through firsthand stories and unspoken gestures. Our work strives to balance inventive, athletic movement with poignant and provocative interactions that resonate with an audience. ||Lincoln-Line|| is a Band/Fashion Label/Empowerment Vehicle that covers John Lennon, dresses like the Lincoln Administration, and welcomes all aboard who want to Un ll Rail. Touring by train, llLincoln-Linell creates punk rock haute couture and a line of merch, stories, and song that seek to redefine entertainment and education. Olive Prince combines provocative and enigmatic images, douses them with gesture and abstract movement vocabulary to create psychologically compelling and physically stimulating dance. She is presenting a new solo work developed in collaboration with Summer Yates, a visual artist creating mobiles from found mirrors. Stone Depot Dance Lab, co-founded by Ellie Goudie-Averill, is a collaborative team of visual and performing artists whose mission is to create honest and experiential dances. Formed in 2007 in NYC and now based in Philadelphia, Stone Depot continues to make manifest their conviction that dance should be accessible to everyone. Here[begin] Dance is the performance and production project of experimental movement artist Zornitsa Stoyanova. Often times theatrical, her collaborations explore non linear stories, movement invention, spoken word, and object installation.
