ABOUT ABOUT

*NOTICE: The format of Brat RockPile's show has changed. Times and prices advertised in the Fringe Guide may not reflect the most up to date information.

ENJOY A DOUBLE FEATURE of rock n' roll theater (buy a ticket to both and save!): Popsicle's Departure, 1989: Madi Distefano remounts her international award winning solo tour-de-force and former Live Art Festival show about the end of the punk rock scene in Boston. Eternal Glamnation: a nuclear glam-rock fantasia spectacle cabaret about finding your true self underneath the glittery shadow. Conceived by and featuring All-Star Brat Jess Conda, this show sold out last spring as part of her Rock & Awe series. CAUTION: THESE SHOWS FEATURE SEX, DRUGS, FLESH, STROBE LIGHTS, LOUD ROCK, PROFANITY, AND ALIEN ABDUCTIONS.

Brat Productions. The company that brought you A 24-Hour THE BALD SOPRANO ("Easily one of the top 10 productions in the history of the Philly Fringe" - Philadelphia Weekly) and Eye-95 ("A perfect example of Fringe" - Fringe NYC).  This year, Brat presents twice the rock and roll fun with productions featuring the All-Star Brats from the 2006 sold-out Live Arts show EYE-95 Re-Tarred: Madi Distefano and Jess Conda. Distefano remounts Popsicle's Departure, 1989 which won multiple awards including Edinburgh Fringe's "Best Solo Show" and garnered two Barrymore nominations. Conda gives you Eternal Glamnation, previously seen in its workshop version as an installment in her rock and roll cabaret series Rock & Awe. Glamnation features rockers Bobby Fabulous, Kevin Jordan, and Erik Ransom as well as Conda herself in a Studio-54 style cocktail blend of rock and roll mixed by renegade music director Andrew Nelson. Expect selections from Bowie, T. Rex, Nick Cave, Queen, and more.  Brat. Theatre that rocks.  Popsicle's Departure, 1989: Winner of Edinburgh Fringe's "Best Solo Show" + Scotsman Fringe First "Furious, disgusting, and wantonly erotic...the sort of adrenaline burst normally associated with illicit stimulants...brilliantly conceived and delivered." - The Stage UK "superb script... a skillfully delivered piece of theatre, bringing to life the fantasy and nightmare of the punk revolution." - Phillippa Campbell, Edinburgh "Distefano's aptitude for storytelling enthralls. This captivating snapshot of Generation X Slackerdom is no slouch." - Metro UK "The festival's hit...Distefano is a "sweet little player" - The Village Voice, NYC Fringe "As much a love poem to the arrogance and naivety of past youth as a recreation of a particular point in time and culture." -The List UK  Jess Conda: "Conda is a thriller whose work is as brash as she is audacious." - Philly Inquirer "[Rock & Awe] rips back the slick finish that profit-driven Broadway has put on rock 'n' roll cabaret." - Citypaper "If u miss @BratProductions' Rock & Awe cabarets, you're missing the edgiest edge of #philastage. Jess Conda tears it up harder w/every show." -Wendy Rosenfield, Twitter
