Welcome to the darkest corner of this years Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Immerse yourself in a beautifully twisted, violently artistic, and utterly macabre love story.
BASEMENT explores everything from what goes "bump in the night" to the nooks and crannies of creative movement. Based on Gunnar Montana's recent breakup, BASEMENTs soundtrack is that of Patsy Cline, Nat King Cole, and an assortment of other oldie goldies, which are then remixed into heavy electronic metal beats and dubstep tracks. Mixing the music preferences of both himself and the man he used to live with. BASEMENT is an exaggerated reality of the hurt, pain, and anger that a breakup can entail. It's about what happens underneath the surface.
Finding little to no closure to his recent situation, Montana has developed BASEMENT as a way to move on from aspects in his personal life in a completely artistic fashion. BASEMENT is designed to be therapeutic, enlightening, and demented to all hell.
