ALLEY OF NIGHTMARES Philly Improv Theater is proud to announce “Alley of Nightmares” as part of their line-up for the 2013 Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe.
“Alley of Nightmares” is an hour-long, live sketch comedy show inspired by classic horror anthologies of the last fifty years (The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Tales From the Crypt, Creepshow). The show is hosted by a ghastly ghoulie, The Gatekeeper, who guides the audience through a labyrinth of hilariously horrifying sketches tackling a range of spine-chilling topics from alien invasion to killer psycho clowns.
The show, which was created by Rob Baniewicz (Meg & Rob, Camp Woods, Dog Mountain) and Paul Triggiani (Secret Pants, The Flat Earth, Fuse TV’s Munchies), features the writing and performing talents of an all-star team of Philadelphia comedians.
“Alley of Nightmares” promises to be so enjoyable that you’ll enjoy yourself… to death!
PHILLY IMPROV THEATER (PHIT) Philly Improv Theater (PHIT) is a showcase for Philadelphia comedy shows – and home to the best improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy Philadelphia has to offer. In addition to our more than 300 popular and affordable BYOB shows at The Shubin Theatre each year, PHIT has also produced for the Philly Fringe Festival and taken its company on the road throughout the United States. PHIT’s Training Center is the largest of its kind between New York and Chicago and introduces hundreds of everyday people to the world of comedy each year. We offer extensive training in improv, sketch comedy, stand-up, and storytelling for students of all ages in a relaxed community setting with a focus on having fun, learning, and laughing a lot. Students and instructors from PHIT have gone on to become performers on our stage, hot acts at comedy festivals around the country, published authors, and even writers and performers for TV.
