June 3rd Featured Artists:

Marcel Williams Foster/Performance Hypothesis performs Animal Becomes Jane Goodall

Humans are animal but animals are not human (says Darwin). Drag queens are not biology but biology is assuredly a drag queen (says RuPaul?). So, what happens when a drag queen becomes an animal? Never fear, Jane Goodall is here.

Hinako Arao performs Milky Way - Chapter 1

Where is the center of the universe? What would be there? Why are people looking for it?(Are they??) In this fast spinning world, having fast spinning minds, where do we find ourselves and how do we show ourselves fully to the world? This piece is a journey of trying and wanting.

Hinako will be performing with DIA (Sakuma Takurou), JungWoong Kim, Rebecca Lloyd-Jones, Umer Piracha and Ilse Torlin. Sound design by Tom Deis.

Emmanuelle Delpech performs Between Us/Entre Nous (working title)

What prevents us from knowing one another for who we are beyond stereotypes and preconceived ideas/formulas? What is the difference between race and culture? Native languages are a way into someone's heart, history and real identity. Not just skin color. This piece is an encounter between languages, cultures, people, and between the musical/spoken word form and the dance/theater form.

Emmanuelle will be performing with Camico Stylec, Shaun Walker, Blayer PoinDuJour, Les Rivera (aka El Malito), and Melvin Blaqmel.
